The NACCWM is inviting you to a behind-the-scenes Brewery & beer event on Wednesday, October 25th at the Rock Bottom Brewery in Bethesda, MD.
The event is spearheaded by a discussion with Jasper Akerboom of Jasper Yeast (Jasper Yeast) and well-known local brewers about the science behind brewing great-tasting beer and the foundational and surprising role that yeast has in it.
Jasper Akerboom is the pre-eminent wet yeast cultivator in North America, supplying the country’s top, award-winning brewers with specialized yeast strands to give their beer a unique flavor. As a driving force in the microbrewer’s community, he is recognized as a top flavor consultant in the beer industry. Jasper can also be found as a judge at beer tasting competitions. He will share his story of how he came to America, and how he is growing his business in the US and into Europe.
